Senegal: Consultancy: Support to partnership, nutrition budget tracking and WCAR Info

Purpose of the Assignment

The main objective of the consultancy is to provide support to the UNICEF regional Office in the areas of:

  • Knowledge management
  • Nutrition financing tracking
  • Upcoming partnership with regional platforms
  • Assignment Tasks/Expected Deliverables

    The consultancy will be for 144 working days. Activities are estimated to start by 15th December 2017 and be completed by 15th July 2018.

    Qualifications of Successful Candidate

    Education

  • At least a master degree in nutrition or public health or related field – or equivalent professional experience
  • Years of relevant experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in the field of nutrition or public related programmes.
  • Work experience in sub-Saharan Africa; ideally in West and Central Africa
  • Work experience with database management, data analysis, especially nutrition performance nutrition indicators trend analysis for countries, especially stunting vis a vis the WHA target is important
  • Ability to express clearly and concisely ideas and concepts in written and oral form.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Proven skills in communication, networking, advocacy, and negotiation
  • Good experience in meetings/workshop organization
  • Good experience in report writing of meetings/workshops
  • Working experience in the domain of nutrition public financing, budget tracking is important
  • Computer skills, high ability to works with different dimensions of Microsoft excel including internet navigation and various office applications.
  • Working experience with UN Agencies, especially UNICEF will be an asset
  • Fluency in French and English
