Senegal: CONSULTANCY OFFERS ON SAVE THE CHILDREN VARIOUS THEMATICS

Save the Children – Senegal office offers opportunities of consultancies in all its thematic areas for its various researches and studies in Senegal and the sub-region (Senegal, The Gambia, Burkina Faso, Mali, Togo, Benin, Côte d’ivoire).

1- Objective of the offer:

The main objective of the consultancies offer is to update Senegal office consultants’ database in its different thematic areas for a direct offer upon need. The thematic areas are as follow:

  • Child Protection ;
  • Child Rights Governance ;
  • Health & Nutrition ;
  • Education ;
  • Food Security and Livelihood,
  • MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning)

And Proposal development in all thematics.

2- Recruitment process:

Shortlisted Individual or companies will participate to a recruitment process.

The finalists will be integrated to Senegal office consultants’ database for direct offers when opportunities arise. At this occasion, only technical and financial offers will be required from designated consultants.

3- Consultants Profiles:

For all thematic areas, consultants should have these profiles:

  • University degree in the thematic area or related field;
  • Substantial experience in research in the development context Senegal in countries of Save the Children intervention;
  • Excellent understanding and experience of influencing decision and policy makers, politicians, donors, and other key actors;
  • Extensive experience regarding monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning in one or more of the above thematic areas;
  • Good knowledge of budget analysis and social accountability;
  • Good knowledge of Child Rights and Business Principles (CRBP);
  • Good knowledge of public policy and the thematic area system in Senegal;
  • Good understanding of strategies for achieving sustainable thematic policies through participatory processes;
  • Excellent conceptual and analytical skills and demonstrable ability to think strategically, innovatively and practically to ensure achievement of desired change objectives;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences at local, national and international levels;
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with partner agencies and key contacts in the government, NGO, civil society and media sectors;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively handle multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet strict deadlines;
  • Good computer skills;
  • Fluent in French and English (written and oral);
  • Commitment to the values, mission, aims and policies of Save the Children;
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally (if required);
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, adaptability and ability to work effectively as a member of a team;
  • Develops and encourages new and innovative solutions
  • Excellent analytical writing skills.
