Guarantee the execution of project activities and the production of deliverables in connection with the Justice sector of the project
✓ Plan, implement and monitor all project activities in its sector in a proactive and participatory approach with the stakeholders concerned
✓ With the support of the head office technical expert and in conjunction with other thematic experts, produce and write deliverables for its sector (training packages, standard operating procedures, maps, information management tools, etc. ), ensure their quality and compliance by respecting the contractual commitments and the methodology of the IBCR.
✓ Prepare and / or lead the various project activities related to its sector (development workshops, validation workshops, pilot courses, training of trainers, follow-up with partners, advocacy, etc.).
✓ Evaluate and integrate the lessons into the actions for which he / she is responsible, with the aim of improving the practices, knowledge, skills and modalities of interactions of justice personnel with children.
✓ Monitor teaching practices and advances on the topic in their sector
✓ Organization and facilitation of youth awareness and mobilization workshops and support for the participation process of the project children
✓ Contribution to any other activity relating to the child participation center.
Ensure coordination and representation with project partners
✓ Prepare and participate in the meetings of the sectoral working group of his sector.
✓ Support the Project Manager in leading, maintaining and consolidating collaborative and action relationships with the main project partners and stakeholders in her sector;
✓ At the request of the Chef, accompany him to external meetings (meetings with partners and other coordination groups).
✓ Support as needed the other national thematic experts of the project, in particular on specific issues related to its sector.
Contribute to reporting
✓ Write reports related to their sector: periodic activity reports, training reports, workshop reports, etc.
✓ Collect and analyze data from its sector to feed the reports and work plans to be produced by the Project Manager.
Participate in internal coordination
✓ Take part in the trips provided for in its work plan or made necessary according to the progress of the project in order to carry out the activities planned in the program, whether in Dakar or in the region in Senegal.
✓ Actively participate in team meetings.
✓ Actively participate in the preparation and conduct of all work assignments relevant to the implementation of the project
✓ Perform any other task related to their skills and the proper functioning of the Office.
Requirements
• University or higher school diploma at Bac +4/5 level in criminal law.
• Have a minimum of four years of legal practice, preferably as a lawyer or as a university or law school professor.
• At least four years of experience in the promotion and protection of children's rights; ideally, the candidate has held similar functions in an NGO or an international institution.
• Very good knowledge of Senegalese law and the Senegalese judicial system.
• Very good knowledge of legal issues and issues and actors relating to child protection in Senegal
• Solid experience in developing training packages and facilitating adult training workshops.
• Excellent analytical, synthesis and writing skills; ability to write / proofread a variety of texts and formulate ideas in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to carry out several deadlines simultaneously; ability to prioritize activities and tasks and rearrange priorities as needed; ability to set aside sufficient time and resources to complete task; ability to take risks and contingencies into account in planning; ability to monitor the execution of plans and measures and to modify them as necessary; ability to make the most of the time available.
• Good computer skills and use of software and / or applications (Word, Excel, Internet, Outlook).
• An excellent command of oral and written French is essential.
• Very good capacity for monitoring partners in the justice sector: proactivity and excellent inter-personal communication
• Knowledge of animation / facilitation of meetings
Assets
• Excellent understanding of the issues and mechanisms in the prevention and response to sexual and gender-based violence
• Expertise in andragogy
• Good knowledge of the administrative circuits of vocational schools in the justice sector and their supervisory ministry
• Experience working with children's or youth associations
• Knowledge of local languages and English
• Understanding of the issues and mechanisms of child participation in the different phases of a project
