In line with ACF international strategic plan 2010-2015, a regional approach for West Africa was developed in 2010 – 2011 to increase our impact on acute malnutrition in this region. As a result of country field experiences and our understanding of the overall context, ACF has been committed to increase its impact in the region as a whole.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

  1. Technical support to the design and implementation of Operational Research in the Region.

  2. Regional Engagement and representation.

  3. Coordinate the implementation of the ECHO and CIFF funded project activities at a national and global level.

  4. Grants Management.

  5. Documentation and Lessons Learned.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

  1. Support the definition establishment and development the country strategy.

  2. Support the national technical team to develop and implement the project/programs according to project cycle management tools and ACF technical policies.

  3. Representation and Coordination with stakeholder based in Lebanon.

  4. Human Resources Management.

  5. Reporting, documentation, archiving and capitalization.

  6. Admin/Finance/Log (in coordination with Log/Admin).

  7. Support to national technical team on the job technical support from distance to the National Program Coordinator in daily tasks.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

· Master Degree in a field related to social sciences, public health nutrition, epidemiology or any other related discipline.

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the implementation and management of global, inter-agency projects.

· Experience in running nutrition assessments (SMART, SQUEAC, LQAS).

· Published articles in the sector of nutrition or health.

· Excellent communication skills essential.

· Ability to create solutions or responses to problems in an autonomous way

· Proven ability to work independently.

· High level of English and French is essential.

· Knowledge of West Africa is an asset.

· Gender approach acknowledgement would be an asset.

REMUNERATIVE PACKAGE

We offer immediate incorporation to a dynamic international network with the following remuneration package:

  • Formal work contract: 12 monthswith high probability of expansion.
  • Base: Dakar, Senegal.
  • Salary: from 1700€ to 2200€ gross per month according to candidate’s previous experience (according to standard list of ACF- Spain). ACF- Spain remuneration system allows a salary progression based on the annual development appraisal.

  • Up to 20% additional remuneration depending on the position’s context and responsibilities (according the grading scale set by ACF-E)
  • House and maintenance covered by the organization (including per diem): package estimated according to the destination.
  • Travel costs to and from the mission.
  • 25 working days of paid leave per year.
  • Break: additional rest period, including travel cost to a reference area and economic help of 215€.
  • Health, repatriation, travel and life insurance covered by the organization.
  • Extra per month and per child (Under 18 years old): from 100€ to 225€ monthly (according to standard list of ACF-Spain).
